“Little Shoes, Little Socks – Everywhere I turn I can see them….” I often find myself singing this line from the song from the Broadway Musical Annie.
We are a house that doesn’t wear shoes. They come off almost instantly as we come in the door. OK, sometimes not so instantly. Some of the children drop [...]

Yesterday morning the house was clean. OK, not clean but at least straightened up.
And then life happened – A birthday gift was unwrapped and the beautiful paper was tossed aside as the contents were anxiously anticipated. The paper remains on my living room floor. Preschool papers came home and were dropped on my living room [...]

It is a good idea to have a “home” for your iron. Rubbermaid makes this holder so you always know where your iron is. I also don’t have to wait to put it away until it cools down. This can be hung on the wall or cabinet door. Remember to store your iron in [...]

As I played peek a boo with my 9month old son around the cereal boxes this morning I was reminded of the joy that life brings. It is sheer joy that I see on the face of my son as I come to pick him out of his crib in the morning. It isn’t just [...]

As I was getting the kids ready to go to school this morning I was reminded of a comment a client made. She was sharing with me her success at getting her kids ready for school and she didn’t have to say “Hurry Up!”
I thought I was doing really well this morning getting the kids [...]

We call my husband’s wallet, “Wally the Wayward Wallet” because my husband has to go through this ritual of walking through the entire house every morning looking for his wallet. I listened to his frustration every morning and his resolve to change his ways. It only took a few minutes to ask the key questions [...]

Boxtops for Education is a great program that helps schools earn money. As parents, we want to do everything we can to help the school out. As we save them what can we do to prevent them from ending up all over the place?
I first tried a small plastic bag in a drawer but I found [...]

Feeling overwhelmed? DELEGATE
It is a basic but often overlooked principle that we have to keep in mind all of the time.
Tonight I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Dinner needed to be prepared, laundry needed to be folded, baby had to be changed and bathed and a water mess had to be cleaned up immediately. Ok…OK… [...]

I really like the CD organizers that attach to the car visors so your CDs don’t get strewn all over the car.
Here is a sample of one.
